News Article

Last night, the Bruins lost another game. They lost 2-0 to the Panthers.

Tim Thomas, goalie for the Boston Bruins, blocked 28 out of the 29 shots, leading to their loss. It would've been Thomas's 14th shutout, if the Panthers hadn't scored. If the Bruins stepped up their game and got a goal, it would have been yet another win this season, leading them up to the number one spot.

At the beginning of this season, they were really slacking. They finally started to pull it together by the middle of the season, and now they're back to their losing streak.

Being defending Stanley Cup Champions, you'd think that they'd be on top of their game, but not so much.

States

This Sunday is states, the biggest competition of the fall season for cheerleading. We won this past winter, and it was such a good feeling. No East Bridgewater team has ever won states in the fall. Burlington has gotten first for the past nine years. We all want to be the first EBHS team to ever win states in the fall. It would be such a great accomplishment. There are two competitions before states, which are leagues and regionals. We did awesome at leagues, and got first place. At regionals, we thought we did really good. We thought we won, then we went to awards. They said that there were four teams in our division, division three, that'd be moving on to states. We were all so excited, because we thought we definately would move on and win. They announced fourth place, and it wasn't us. Next, was third place, and it wasn't us. It wasn't the team we expected it to be, either... We knew that there were three amazing teams left, us, Medway, and Foxborough. They announced second, and it was Medway, so we were really nervous. We knew Foxborough did extremely good. They announced first, and it was Foxborough. We all burst into tears. It didn't make sense... How do we go from winning states in the winter, then not even making it to states in the fall? We were all confused and so upset. Our coach went up to the judges and asked them what happened. Meanwhile, we're all crying and picking up our stuff to leave. He ran over to us and said that we won! They then announced that there was a computer glitch, and there were five teams moving on and we actually got first. We had to go up to Foxborough and take their trophy. We're all practicing super hard and we're all so anxious. We think we can do it, and so do many other people.

Separate Schools

I don't think that there should be a separate school for people that are bullied. I think that they should ignore people who bully them, or tell someone about it. People shouldn't bully others because they're different, it shouldn't matter. Everyone should be able to go to school, be happy, and not get bothered by others. Bullying needs to stop, and making separate schools will not solve the problem.

Introduction Post

My name is Kasey McDonald. I'm 15 years old, I'll be 16 in January. I'm looking forward to this school year, being able to drive soon, and next summer. I'm a cheerleader for East Bridgewater High School and we're state champions. I like to go to the mall and hang out with friends in my free time. I love the summer time, it's my favorite season. I think summer is way too short. I really like the fall too, and cheering at football games. I hate the rain and the snow. My favorite subject in school is either history or science. History is actually hard for me, but it's the most interesting subject, in my opinion. I think that sophomore year is going to be really fun, but I enjoyed freshman year a lot. I can't wait to graduate, though, and go to college. I want to be a photographer when I'm older.
